What do I need to edit the techtree?

Greetings everyone!

REASON / STORY:

I am a hardcore careerplayer, meaning I play with every bit of punishing that is possible and acceptable while not destroying the fun of the game.

Now I also have this serious motivation-problem to keep on playing once I maxed out my techtree, with money usually about 11 to 15 Million k€. At this point, I have upgraded everything, purchased everything and build one absolutely unnecessary big cool spacestation /planetstation /minestation /whatever.

[btw, this is totally doable without grinding, seriously].

Thing is, I've only been to the Kerbin and Duna-System at this point. I managed to build a cool station on eeloo and around jool once, landed on moho once. Well, I can basically go everywhere in the game, you know it's not that hard once you get the hang of it.

There is just no reason, because after Duna / or Eve you have all the Science you need. Game Complete.

END OF REASON / STORY

I want to alter the techtree. Make adjustments to it, place a few thing differently and you know, such things. I know that there are already a few different techtree out there. But I want to try it out for myself. Now what do I need to do so?

Notepad++? Check.

HTML-Knowledge? Check.

Please let me know what else do I need or where to start. Maybe there is already a fine tutorial out there and I didn't find it?

Can someone help me?
