Powerful Electric Engine.

I'm hoping someone can help here as im looking for/after an engine that is powerful enough to keep a 5-10ton plane in the air at an altitude between 30km-60km or a possible LKO but it must be an engine that runs purely on electric power from batteries that uses no fuel what so ever as the air craft i want it for is to be a long range spy plane that wont require refueling as it uses solar power to recharge the batteries.

I know i could use the ion engine if i tweak the config but i dont want to tweak anything unless its via tweakscale.

So im hoping someone can help.

Have you looked at the firespitter propellers?

KAX (Kerbal Aircraft Expansion) and the USI Exploration and USI Heavy Cargo mod packs have electric propellers. Firespitter was the first mod with electric propellers, and thus other mods have Firespitter core as a requirement. KAX has a variety of airplane parts, including both electric and fueled propellers. The propellers from USI mods are meant from vertical propulsion, but are extremely powerful, maybe too powerful. Of course these all require an atmosphere to work.
