menus disapearing

guys, not sure if this should be in the modded support or not so sorry if in wrong section.

i replaced instead of merging a file into ksp, so i deleted the whole folder and reinstalled an unmoded install, put all my mods in their place and restarted, first time was a shutdown to desktop, so retried and all was fine apart from just a white box for chatterer and kernel engineer, engineer still works apart from the icon but chatterer does not?

also after switching back to the VAB from anywhere, space/flight/mission etc, i have no menus at all, no engines,fuel,utility, nothing all blank.

i go out of VAb and back in and they are all there again? i have to do this every time i need to go to the VAB in game.

oh running on mac.

all was fine before the fresh install?

Check if your game data folder is as it should be. Most likely, some mod (or the entire folder) turned out nested inside - something like C:/Games/KSP/Gamedata/Gamedata/Squad

well this is still a bit strange, done another fresh install, found my probs with chatterer and k.e, which was as usual a misplaced folder, but i still lose all inventory items randomly, just a blank menu?

ok, found other problems as well.

when the game is paused it still continues on your screen, but on resuming it flicks back to where you have paused it?

now this is the second fresh install, maybe there is a file somewhere left on the system that is interfering with the program?

i have a lot of mods installed but just can’t find if any are causing the problem, as i have installed/uninstalled them separately

as said before all was working excellent together with no problems, only i swapped a file by mistake and so i needed to reinstall mods and game then this happened, so I’m wondering about a persistent file?

hmm, well there seems to be nearly the same problem on some windows machines, i have found the problem to be corrupted save game files
