Detailed Doctor Who TARDIS

Recommended Posts

B6TLwOU.jpgThis is my Tardis, built because I was partially bored and I didn't want to start on my Galileo Replica, which would take huge chucks of time. This Tardis is 215 parts and weighs 4734 kilograms. It has 4 rocket engines and 1 jet engines. This Tardis is based off the 2005 and 2010 Tardis. Don't physics warp unless you are ok with the top lights shearing off. ;)

The TARDIS is one of the most iconic spaceships ever to reach the TV screens. Introduced in 1963, it is disguised as a 1929 Mackenzie-Trench Police Box permanently after it's "Chameleon Circuit" broke down. It has traveled across both ends of Time And Space.

Action Groups: 1 to toggle top lights.

MODS: Tweakscale, and Kerbpaint

Not really, in stock it's pretty weak if you slam it at 30m/s, but it is pretty strong because of its structural panels construction. In KJR in pretty much can take a beating at 70m/s, and will stay mostly intact expect for the top. I do suppose with unbreakable joints, and no crash damage, it virtually will!

Actually, I've sorta figured out that the Tardis is not, as has been suggested, actually larger on the inside. You see, several seasons ago we witnessed that the interior of the tardis is, in fact, a simulation that can be saved and loaded at variable states. This, of course, allows each individual to create his/her own personalized interface in which to pilot the Tardis machine. Given these facts, I believe that the interior of the Tardis is exactly the size it appears to be from the outside and that all objects, organic or otherwise, entering the Tardis are then digitized (so to speak) and brought into the simulation. This creates the illusion of more space inside that outside. It's like how we can store tons of data on a tiny little memory stick that can fit inside out phones. You could argue that the memory stick is, in fact, bigger on the inside when the true fact is that the interior is simply compressed and organized in a more efficient manner.
