Replica Ares V with Ares Cargo Module for 'The Dunatian'

Recommended Posts

2/3rd Scale Replica of the Ares V Rocket with customised cargo module to deliver 'The Dunatian' hardware to Duna. This is a powerful launch system that has been tested with over 90t to 100km orbit. The download includes a rover ready to be delivered to Duna that increases the part count substantially, with nothing in the cargo hold it is 133 parts, with the rover it is 248.

Height 73m

Width 5.6m

Weight 1023.8t (with rover, 82.2t payload including interplanetary stage)

The Cargo module is designed to deliver payload to Duna but could work on any atmosphered world like Kerbin, or Eve. It has an innovative drive out deployment system. When you have landed the Cargo Module simply blow the end plug open the doors and drive out. Once you have the first rover out you can push subsequent modules to better locations on their wheels.

The rocket itself has plenty of margin for larger payloads or more fuel for higher altitude missions.
