Bringing my Kerbals up to speed.

In recent days, my time in KSP has grown less exciting. To reinvigorate my plans, i have set myself upon a challenge. It is to bring my kerbals up to tech in a modern world.

Modernization plans:

Weather sat network: Done

(Other sat is identical) The network consists of two sats, one in a 90 degree orbit and one in a polar orbit.

Munar research base:1/3

2 more modules are planned. Used for studying Mun rocks and soil.

Minimus research base:

Space station:

Geosync Sat:

Voyager like probe:

Spaceplane:

Standard orbital craft:

Deep space sat network:

Munar rover:

Minimus rover:

Feel free to suggest more ideas.

I don\'t know how you would do the geosynchronous space station as you would have to get up very high with a relatively large spacecraft with a lot of RCS thrusters or something in order to keep the station\'s orbit from deteriorating. Also I\'m assuming you are going for a circular orbit... what are your thoughts on these problems?

You need a deep space network with a sat to provide line of sight to the far side of the mun and minnums.

First, its a Sat, not a station. Second, if it was in a geosync, it would be out of the atmosphere, thus no orbital deterioration.

@DrBurst Great idea! Thanks.

You could try and set up a Geostationary GPS-like network, I\'m in the progress of doing it.

Other things could be circumnavigation of the Mun and/or Minmus? Another thing I\'ve been trying out, unintentionally while launching space stations, is seeing what the heaviest payload you can get into orbit is.

Good luck :)

A craft orbiting Kerbol at kerbin\'s orbit, but just a bit ahead of kerbin, maybe one behind kerbin as well.

Oh and to get rid of the rest of your life you can try doing that to the moons aswell.

Good luck...
