Nothing to Harvest

So I've made this small drilling vessel and put it on Duna on a fairly rich ore deposit:

However, when I fire up the drill nothing happens and I receive a message that there's nothing to Harvest. What am I doing wrong here?

You need a better... "Harvester" (couldn't resist).

Actually you need the short range scanner. The orbital scanner just gives you a vague idea of where it might be but the resolution is too low to see the deposits clearly. You got unlucky and landed between them.

EDIT: Narrow band, not short range.

This is the first time the M700 isn't accurate enough. I'll send a high tech prospector ship to enhance the resolution. Thanks for the idea.
