bad lag

I've been having really bad lag on 1.0.4, sometimes on large ships, not the largest I've ever had though, but sometimes on small ships too. the only mod I have is KW rocketry plus some some duplicate tanks for liquid fuel only (it was lagging before I made them). the install is fresh and the mod is installed correctly. changing the graphics settings hake no difference, the location of the ship makes no difference, the processor isn't close to maxed on any core. Right now 7 seconds real time equals 1 second games time with 2 or 3 fps

I have windows 7 64bit

AMD FX - 4130 quad core processor 3.8Ghz

8 GB memory
