Some reference photos for modellers

I took some photos during my last trip to the museum. They might serve as good reference photos for anyone designing parts. (Warning there are at least 120 pictures and may put a little stress on your internet and browser.)

 

If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer them as best I can.

EDIT: I have updated the descriptions on the pictures as per Sumghai's suggestion

If you could add detailed descriptions for each photo (what vehicle/rocket/missile it is, what portion we're looking at etc.), I can consider having them curated as part of the Engineer's Handbook for Modders.

Ill get around to it eventually, I hope, but I'm a bit swamped with homework at the moment.

No, this was the restoration tour only available on fridays. The new hangar opens in June.

Yep, only remaining XB-70 is here in Dayton.

Trust me, its much better to see for the first time when you are old enough to appreciate them instead of growing up around this stuff. When you do make it this way, lemme know, I'm happy to give tours and meet fellow aerospace lovers.

Im going to the National Museum of the USAF again tomorrow. Anybody have any requests for any other plane/rocket/engine pictures? Ill do my best to get them.

Thanks for adding descriptions to each photo, Rokker! I'll touch base with the other guys and figure out how to include them into the Engineer's Handbook for Modders.

More pictures. Inertial Upper Stage stages and an Atlas Skirt and supposedly a Minuteman III 2nd stage nozzle, but it looks kinda off.
