Fuel Drain bug?

Recommended Posts

So... I landed an ISRU ship on Duna... but during liftoff, things go horribly wrong.

I have 1 central tank that should be feeding 3 radial tanks with poodles below them.

Instead, all the fuel is draining out of on of the radial tanks, causing a massive CoM shift.

By manually transferring fuel, I can barely get it to orbit, but not with enough precision ot make the rendevous.... I've looked over the craft file and such... and I just can't figure out why the fuel is draining like this.

The fuel lines were placed on the central tank with symettry, and all go from the center, outward...

Any idea on what the problem is?

Here's the relevant save data:

First, your dropbox link gives me a 404 error.

Shut off the radial tanks until the core tank is almost tapped out. Much quicker than manual transfers. Fuel hoses are a can of worms, personally I've never had problems with convergant flows but divergant and circulating routes are often just a bad idea.

Link fixed.

Yea, I figured out the shut off radials, drain from core... luckily those fuel lines from the core to radials work... I don't know why the one radial drains first though... its as if there is a fuel line going from it to the core rather than the other way around, but I can't find such a fuel line on the craft or in the file.

I don't think the core fuel will be enough to achieve orbit when its fully loaded... so... in flight fuel transfers with this buggy craft... yay
