How to make a command pod?

Hey, so I decided I wanted to try to make a mod, and I did some research, but I can't find how to make a command pod. I did some looking and can't find a thread that states how. I got the model, but I don't know how to make the window, hatch, or interior. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I made a capsule with a hatch and ladder.. (I'm VERY new..)

Absolutely check out the links that Nookos provided.. Very helpful.

Also, I can't remember the post here in the forums, but I watched a video suggested by Nli2Work (I think is the name) and it helped me A TON!
