The Challenger Business Jet is an executive transport that has been around since the 1980s; it is notable for being the first business jet to be designed with a supercritical wing. It also serves various militaries in maritime patrol, training, and search and rescue roles.

Powered by CF-34 turbofans - a civilian variant of the TF-34 engine on the A-10 Warthog, the Model 601 also serves as the basis for the larger CRJ series regional jetliner.
