Take On Mars Stock-alike Parts

I bought "Take On Mars" a week ago, and I'm already in love with it! I thought it would be cool to add the manned lander, a rover or 2, and some materials to build your base on Duna! So here is my idea...

Here is a horribly drawn sketch of how the manned lander would be build in the VAB-

For a 3D printer, you would bring it up in a KAS / KIS container and place it down on the surface of whatever planet you choose, from there you can print off parts! Such as: Base parts, Fuel Tanks, Command Pods, More 3D Printers, Etc...

For the base parts, you will print them (Or put them in a container in the VAB) and place them using KIS / KAS, you wouldn't have to worry about struts because it would connect to any base part that is near it.

Thanks for reading!

Forgot to mention, the whole thing would probably be the same size as the largest fuel tank in the game (Extra Large) Which would probably make it tough to get to space :P

Bahamuto Dynamics is good, just that it is outdated and is not compatible with my computer. KIS and KAS is what I was think of how to get a 3D printer in to space to make base parts for your kerbals, you wouldn't need struts for the base, it automatically connects to any parts it connects to. The 3D printer could also make fuel tanks and pods! I thought this would be good for KSP sense it doesn't really have any massive pods (Only 1 massive pod in-game so far) a 3D printer, or base parts!

I've made a Module Manager patch that fixes the lander and engine to work in 1.0.x: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/49035-WIP-Bahamuto-Dynamics-%28Dockable-Fairings%29-11-5-13?p=2241786&viewfull=1#post2241786

For 3D printing and in-situ construction, there's OSE Workshop (which depends on KIS) for making parts one-by-one, and Extraplanetary Launchpads for making whole ships at once. USI Kolonization Systems includes colonization parts, including refineries and such that work with OSE and EPL.
