Problem with MK16 contract

Hi I recently accepted a contract which says I should test the MK16 parachute in flight at a height of 1400/2400 and a speed of 500/1000 m / s which is impossible because at that point and at that speed the parachute always It is in "unsafe" or "risk" for which no unfolds and ends up not fulfilled the contract. If within that altitude parachute opens but at a speed of 130 m / s which as you will see is not enough. I think this is almost impossible to do contract. If someone has done Tell me please as they have done since I do not see the light at the issue. Of course gracias.-

I believe if you right click you should be able to " test" if not, adjust the Minn atmosphere up to around .65-.70 to allow you to stage without it deploying until in deeper atmosphere.

I've done all that my friend and i do not abut the way I think I'll have to give up the contract.

Some of these contracts have not been corrected for 1.0.4. You just have to use common sense as you have figured out here. Not all contracts can be be accomplished.

Nonsense, that contract is perfectly doable! The scientists want to find out how big of a bang the parachute makes, that's all - nobody ever said the parachute had to SURVIVE it. Or that you had to open the parachute on the way DOWN.

Don't use the test chute for landing. Have a couple of radial chutes on to bring the ship down safely after you've performed the destructive test on the Mk 16. Make sure they're in a separate stage.

Easy on a plane. Pack a second chute for survival if you want. Rocket might be hard to get to that speed at that altitude.

While contracts are not good, they are still not impossible - even like sun-suborbital or Sun part testing with just thousands of altitude range over billions of meters of orbit height, they aren't hard once you know how to do it.

Well, probably except for that 2-year Pluto satellite contract, but that's with RO/RSS, not stock.

Agreed on the plane ... just use it as a nosecose and go supersonic. I don't know if the first jet has what it takes, though...

You can always climb over the target altitude and nose-dive to reach Mach >2 if you don't have the Whiplashes yet.

As to exploit the parachute the contract remains without engagement. I do what it says on the height and said speed and paracíadas is destroyed without fulfilling the contract.

I did that on my ship put two radial parachute to bring the ship safely destroyed but even so the parachute mk-16 cumplirce the contract still being within the parameters set speed / high.

You say I can do it a plane? Well that's what I thought but still do not own parts to create plane. Thankyou friend for the contribution.
