Flying Sky Car (Up Goer V parody)

This was posted some time ago, but it's worth the extra exposure. Fun!

On a related note.

Is the phrase "You will not go to space today" related to the Up Goer V 1000-words explaination by any chance?

Considering XKCD is a big fan of KSP (You can see a lot of references if you take the time to look. :)) it might be the other way around.

On this one at the top right it says "If this side starts pointing at the ground while you are going up, you may not go to space today, or maybe ever."

That's exactly why I asked when I saw that phrase again.

I know it's also present in some form on the Up Goer V schematic, and that was posted around the time people started saying it.

I think it hapened before I joined.

Up Goer Five has one of those tooltip text boxes that reads the following:

"Another thing that is a bad problem is if you're flying toward space and the parts fall off your space car in the wrong order. If that happens, it means you won't go to space today, or maybe ever."

Considering that this is referencing (or greatly seems to reference) a staging order mishap in KSP, I'd wager that the expression "(not) going to space today" came from KSP first.
