Only engines can produce heat?

I\'m just looking for a sanity check here. I\'m incorporating the PowerTech and ZO2 plugins into my game, and for flavor I wanted the ZO2 generator part (which consumes electricity provided by solar panels) to produce heat which has to be radiated out into space to keep the ship alive.

But it looks like only engines can take the heatProduction parameter. Does that sound right to you guys?

Is there currently any way in the game for non-engine parts to produce heat when active?

I think parameters have to be specifically coded into a given part module in order for them to work; you might talk to the creator of the Zoxygene plugin about that.
