Disable gimbal in certain directions

Recommended Posts

Quick question: Is it possible to disable engine gimbal in certain directions? As an example, the verniers on Soyuz only gimbals from left to right, and the verniers on Delta II and III only control roll. By default, KSP gimbaling allows engines to move in any which direction. I don't want that, as it is rather unrealistic for some launch vehicles.

I'm busy setting up the engines for my upcoming Soyuz ST, and I want the verniers to act realistic :)

Only with Klockheed_Martian_Gimbal.

My proton's config uses the kerbal default gimbal, but without animating the engine bells, as they would clip when gimballed in the wrong direction. A separate config for Modulemanager patches this to use KM_Gimbal_3, if the Klockhead Martian Gimbal mod is detectet. So Players with or without the third party mod could use it.

Allright thank you :) I'll take a look at KMG and see what I come up with.
