Show off your awesome KSP Pictures

You can experiment with other FOV's, anything above 90 provides a good wide angle view. I use 135 for the probe kit's camera, but lower is probably better.

Those two pictures were taken from the same spot, the first was with a camera that had an FOV of 135.

What was the FOV of the second picture?

What was the FOV of the second picture?

I'm not exactly sure, it's just a normal screenshot with KSP's default third person camera. Most PC games have an FOV around 90-ish.

For a default FOV, I think deleting the "cameraFOV =" line should do the trick.

Here's KSC from about 500 meters

The new and improved space station I'm slowly building

ufBW8.png

I had to edit the persistence file to get the claw up there, but the other two parts I got up there legitimately.

I'll be adding more at a later point.

I like that lander. I don't usually keep things in munar orbit, though, the get swept up into solar orbit by a rather annoying bug.

Thanks :) It's a family of little, extremely lightweight scout probes I keep ameliorating; this version is the first I built with Probododyne parts, and it looks and fits so much better! I never had any problems with orbits going solar while I'm away though... weird.

Tonight I put my 1st proper Kerbin Space Station in orbit: 200km high, 45°inclination, this is Menelmar-2, waiting to be awakened by its first crew (I know the CM's hatch isn't actually EVA-capable, but I'll pretend it is, and organize rendezvous missions for crew rotation, that'll do the trick. Or I could build Menelmar-3 using the Crew tank, mind you.)

You cant time warp with it though. Which is the reason i never tried is, as i viewed it as a waste of time.

You can warp with it, though. The problem arises when the warping occurs while you're not focused on a docked vehicle (that is, when the docking occurs on an unfocused vehicle). But if you just want to dock two ships together to go to the moon, this works just fine. :)

Screw it, I'm releasing my BACE edits tonight. I am not tolerating tiny space stations.

Not my actual first post but pretty close to it.

I finally had to say something in the forums here. I've been playing since january and it's because of KSP that I watched the entire series of star trek voyager on netflix in the month of January... while playing KSP. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the voyager bit but KSP has been an on again off again love affair since I first stumbled on it from a end of year games list from Giantbomb.

Now... here's my non stock shuttle. (nova and KW pack I think... plus mechjeb for ease of repeated use but it's perfectly flyable manually)

How wonderful is this! Well done man.

Yay! :D I saw your work on that, actually, but it was after finishing the design of this little SpaceHab I put in orbit; so I now consider it a mock-up of the soon-to-be-put-in-orbit definitive Station, and I'll use it as rendezvous training target.

Last post for a very KSP-full weekend, here we go:

After their 20-day orbital reconnaissance mission in very, very low Mün orbit (4km alt.) aboard Amandil-1, Bill Bob and Jeb landed safely back on Kerbin and became Mün veterans, with two landings and more than 40 days spent in the Mün's vicinity.

•Here they are, posing for the journalists, with the Mün in the background:

•About 6min before the previous pic, approaching 3000m/s speed (it's often the reentry part that impresses me most, IRL): SM jettisoned.

•The crew's last discovery during their reconnaissance mission: Octopus Crater and Mariana's Trench (named after Jeb's mummy, nothing to do with its alter ego on Earth):

That's it! Good night everybody :)

Spent all day assembling this space station, there's a total of 7 ships docked together in this picture.

KaHNV.jpg

How did you keep so many ships docked together without running into the inevitable explosions that I seem to be getting? You're using v0.2 of Erckle's mod, right?

Here you can see the only space plane I ever got into orbit with. I find this shot quite cool.

That's huge launch vehicle, which brought my first apollo style lunar mission into munar orbit.

Unfortunately I had some problems with lag in the last phase of my landing, which caused the lander to crash, but here's a picture of CSM and LEM in munar orbit.
