New experiment gives the strongest refutation to date of Einsteins' principle of local realism.

Perhaps chance plays a bigger part in the universe than Einstein thought- or are entangled electrons communicating faster than light?

And before someone says it, entanglement won't allow us to communicate faster than light. Even if you could encode a bit on photon, you still have to get the other photon to the receiver, and photons only travel at c.

This is also contingent on one's definition of "local". For the photon and its entangled buddy, they may not be separated by much distance at all, if any. They may well perceive themselves as being in the exact same location, and some sort of magical sub-microscopic quantum fairy could just walk from one to the other like it was no big thing.

BTW, it is refreshing to see someone else who actually understands the problem with entanglement for once ;)
