UI_FloatRange disable change but keep visible?

i basicly want to keep a UI_FloatRange visible (guiActive = true) but not change when clicked

i would've thought .ControlEnabled = false would do such, but nope! so whats that do?

and how to do what i want :)

bonus points if theres a way to change colors of it away from puke green
