Is EVE a safer destination with FAR installed?

I've build a huge reusable spaceship to ferry stuff around in the Kerbol system. I've yet to visit EVE, mostly because i fear it the most. I fear the plane will explode on decent. I've used stock aerodynamics up until now, but I'm considering trying FAR, since I've now gotten the hang of "flying". Will it be more difficult to survive an EVE decent with FAR installed?

Probably easier, since FAR models high-altitude skin drag whereas stock doesn't, meaning you should slow down faster in FAR than stock. I couldn't say for certain, though, since I haven't done side-by-side trials.

Coming down in a lander with a heat shield is nothing to particularly fear.

It's coming down with a vehicle big enough to return that it's a problem.
