Make planets without Kopernicus?

I'm not quite sure if this requires a plugin, so feel free to move this to wherever appropriate.

I'm wondering if its possible to make a planet with a regular 3d mesh. If not, how would you make one without kopernicus?

I'm a bit .

You can make a planet without using a 3D mesh, however:-

I doubt it would work in KSP as far as landing on it, etc.

Also, KSP uses two, one for local space and another for scaled space.

To actually inject it into KSP, you need to generate your own solar system into the prefab before KSP actually starts, as a mod like Kopernicus does.

A planet needs to conform to the way KSP works. So you would have to create your own mod to do similar to what Kopernicus does, so my question is why? Just use Kopernicus.

In my TST mod I create Galaxies, with 2D meshes. But these are not planets, they do not have a SOI and do not have an orbit. Nothing else in the game recognises them either.
