A New Kind Of Stock Submarine

Recently, I have discovered that there is another part in KSP that sinks: Ore Tanks. What makes these different from other sinking parts, you ask? Unlike fuel tanks, Ore Tanks let you jettison their contents manually. This allows for a submarine that can increase its buoyancy without burning fuel, making for much smaller, simpler vehicles.

This vessel, which I have dubbed "Bathyscaphe" due to its resemblance to the famous Trieste submersible, is a basic design that can reach the seafloor in around 30 minutes, and stay there forever if so desired. To surface, just dump some of the ore. The craft is equipped with downward-facing lights to illuminate the ocean floor, and a docking port on top for transportation and refilling the Ore Tanks.

Action Groups are listed in the craft description.

Enjoy!
