MechJeb 2 Help

[N00b]

I am fairly new to KSP and modding in general. I have played around with KSP and decided that using mechjeb would add a lot to the game for me. I cannot get the Mod to load into the game though. I have tried every variation I can think of to get it to work.

I have....

copied the folders into GameData

Copped the folders into the squad folders.

Read the forum help

Watched youtube videos.

My main issue is everything I have read is to copy all the data into the appropriate folders but i don't have a plugin or icon folder in my game data folder. I will be posting pictures soon but I am really frustrated right now and want to see if any one out there can help me get the app to work. I bought the game while is was in beta but I did not use steam so I don't know if that is causing any issues.

Please help!!!!

I was able to find the problem. I somehow had multiple KSP downloads and I was putting the files into the wrong folder, I really do feel like a idiot. I may be new to KSP but I am not new to computers
