Underwater Fog

I just saw the first photos of working stock submarines and I have noticed that the far away coastline and mountains can easily be seen. I wonder if a fog which restricts visibility under water to 100-500 meters could be added.

Maybe as a mod? The fog should get darker and thicker as you dive down, so that lights are required after reaching 300 meters of depth.

It does get darker and thicker, though I imagine you mean you'd like it even more so.

Part of the reason it isn't darker is because the shader isn't the best, and it runs pretty dark already on some systems. But I think it's fairly tweakable, so I'm sure some modder will come along to adjust it more. Not sure if adjustable darkness will end up in stock though.
