First rendezvous

My first orbital rendezvous :D

I did not use mechjeb because i didnt know how to rendezvous with it. :-[

Here is a pic :) :)

Station didn\'t have anything to stabilise it so poor crew was not able to do 'docking' because station was spinning constantly.

Craft used Noyuz by Xemit.

And launch stages provided by NovaPunch Remix Pack.

Station is my self made and launched from Kerbin.

Well done!

That\'s quite an achievement without using MechJeb!

I once tried to dock going in an opposite orbital path to the ship I wanted to rendezvous with, I ended up having a solar panel ripped off and getting transferred into a de-orbital trajectory. It was hilarious to say the least. I may do it again and document the event this time. :P

Wow. I am impressed. I have never rendezvoused with anything, I barely know how. I would almost certainly need MechJeb to help me out.

[list type=decimal]

[li]Set up a ship in circular orbit >150km (for time warp reasons)[/li]

[li]Launch another up and adjust the orbit so that it is going faster or slower than the ship you wish to orbit with.[/li]

[li]Time warp until they catch up with each other, it\'s useful to have made the meeting point within ~5km of each ship.[/li]

[li]Boost your ship in the other ship\'s direction until you meet. (Note: this step, if done bashfully, can lead to you whizzing past the ship you wish to rendezvous with..)[/li]

Hope that helps! :)

Good job with the rendevouz! It\'s by far the most tedious process in KSP that I know of (Except trying to return to Kerbin from Kerbol SOI. P.S, if the station is spinning, just time warp past 2X and it makes all things stop rotation).

I performed my first ever fully stock rendezvous today too! I got bored half way through deploying my munar orbital surveyor for a stock cart I put down on the surface (it was made using the landing gear), and had plenty of fuel left, soI decided to rendezvous with some debris from my previous flight. It took quite a while, and I had no mechjeb to help me, but I eventually managed it... The hardest part was probably the fact the craft wasn\'t designed for rendezvous; it had no RCS, so I needed to make tiny adjustments by constantly flipping my entire craft around.

\'Tis satisfying, though!

Using MechJeb, in my experience, doesn\'t make rendezvous much easier. It only really saves you some time in getting your initial orbits at the same altitude.

MechJeb was never perfectly accurate though, so it would always, MechJeb or not, come down to very tiny and tedious adjustments to make the rendezvous happen. It always takes me a lot of patience and frustration.

there is a rv computer in there, but idk how to use it! =P
