1.0.5 Terminology

I upgraded to 1.0.5 and don't understand when a contract says "haul" a part to some point. Does that mean the part is unused until it gets to the specified point? I have tried many different ways to haul (used, unused) but can't seem to fill the contract. What am I missing?

Haul variants are just simplistic part tests that do not require you to test the part. All you need to do is have the part on your vessel and carry it through the flight envelope, or to the destination. You can use the part before you get to the destination if you like, as long as it remains attached to your vessel.
