Turbofan burnout?????

Okay i dont know if this is already on the forums but.....

Okay so im building my spaceplane and everything checks out fine, CoL is slightly behind the CoM everything checks out, and i have plenty of intakes, just one problem.

As i start up my turbofans (wheesley) they are fine for a good 2 seconds, but after that they flame out.......at the landing strip.......in an atmosphere.

it does not compute.

BTW this is a vanilla install no mods

Right click the engine and it will tell you whether it lacks fuel or lacks air.

You either have not enough intakes or fuel or the engines can't access the fuel tanks.

A pic helps us identifying your problem.

As the others said, it probably lacks either air or fuel, pics needed.

Another thing though: For a spaceplane, the wheesley really isn't a good choice, you want to use rapier or whiplash.

Also, with the new changes, if you are using an intake that's too small for the engine, it'll sometimes flameout on the ground. That's because the ship isn't moving fast enough to generate the amount of air that the engine is asking for. The engine consumes all the air in the intake, then the intake can't supply more fast enough so it flames out.
