Rapid Unplanned Disassambly on Reboarding in water

Not really sure where else to put this, but I just had a vehicle (designed as a car) that I'd driven out to Kerbin's water for data and had Jeb out for samples and an EVA report, and when I got back in (difficult in itself as the craft was sitting fairly low in the water, meaning I had to swim at the door and spam ) the craft just flew apart. Time warp was at 1x, only "mods" installed are Kerbal Alarm Clock(one release old) and Kerbal Engineer Redux(current). The cockpit, which Jeb did show as having entered, failed to survive hitting the water at ~70 m/s. Bill, Bob, and most of the remaining science survived. Oh, KSP version is 1.0.5.

It would be helpful if you could upload a craft file, picture, or (possibly the best) a save file. If at all possible, make sure there aren't any mod parts on the craft itself (you don't have to uninstall mods) and we can try to give it a swing over at the unmodded section too.

File added to OP, should note that I recovered all possible debris as I was unsure what would have usable science or not. Site was on a straight line from the east end of the runway to the island with the base, near the start of the water biome. Relevant craft is Car 3.
