How do you get badges from challenges?

Just curious, how do you get badges from challenges? How are they given to you?

Sometimes the creator of a challenge will create a small image intended to be embedded in your signature. If so you can embed said image in your signature in a similar manner to embedding images in posts. It is expected that users will abide by the honor system and only claim badges that they have rightfully owned but technically there is nothing stopping you from embedding any badge you wish into your signature.

I recomend the elcano challenge...circumnavigation of kerbin by ground.. Indeed its a challenge in the true sense of the word and a great honour to engage in..

 

Never completed it myself but its been the most draining, challenging and emotional experience in any game ive ever played
