How do I embed videos?

Hi, I have a stupid question - how do I embed Videos in forum posts?

 

The old way was to make   tags with the youtube URL, before the forum software was updated, that got generated when you clicked the embed video button. However since the update, all my post only show that cleartext link (not even clickable) so those did not get converted right (like here for example: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/63160-infernal-propulsion-challenge-walkers-catapults-and-more-infernal-robotics/&do=findComment&comment=2297341 )

However older posts by other people DO have embedded video.

I also couldn't find how to embed videos at all in the new forum software, hopw do you do that?

You should just be able to paste a youtube url into your post and then hit return after it and it should display (here's your vid from the post you linked).

 

But, if I copied the url from your post and tried to paste that it didn't recognise it.  So I opened a new tab, pasted the url and got taken to your vid on youtube. Then copied the url (which was exactly the same) and pasted that and it worked.  I think it's trying too hard to be clever with recognising formatting!

Moved over to the Kerbal Network, the forum about the forum.

Pasting the URL and pressing enter works for youtube embeds for me.
