Mun Mun Station

Well, after some months I played KSP again and was looking for some cool idea.
 A Spacestation? Already done

A Mun Base? Already done

An Asteroid mined? Already done

An Asteroid around the Mun with a mining base? Sounds like a plan.

Ok, now a little Story:

Some weeks ago a Class E Asteroid went crazy, hit the Mun and bounced back. Now we have this huge ball of ressources around Mun. The PB Mining Corperation now uses this event to demonstrate their new Combination Mining Base System.

First we sent up one of our standard 6x drills and a construction drone.

After that we designed an engine bay, including 2 small reactors for the power supply, 2 cooling sails and an controlroom.

Ore isn't that much fun at all, so we brought up a refinery, including 2 large reactors for fast conversion of ore.

After that we delivered the docking ports. We have the possibility for 2,5m modules like ore tanks to put in.

Our future Plans are a Station for research, housing and tourism near Mun.

Nice work, it looks very well planned. This should also make a really nice refueling station rather than having to launch more fuel to a station for refueling. I will be checking back on your progress to see how things are working out.
