Hi everyone, and welcome back to DM Rockets and Co.

Here we develop new and sometimes unstolen craft designs.

You're free to download anything, and thanks for stoping by!

Stock craft:

Atacama-Sahara Launch vehicle:

The Atacama-Sahara was developed after a lack of cheap, partially reusable light lifters. It can get small satellites into orbit, and there has been success with payloads under 1.5 tons. Do not push this lifter, or you will never make it to orbit.

It's made of two parts, the Sahara Upper Stage and the Atacama Flying Booster.

Notes:

-Do not maneuver with the first space (On primary atmospheric flight) past 100 M/s. Otherwise that thing will flip!

-Once you leave 45,000 Meters, stage the first stage. Don't loose control of Stage 2 or you will not make it to orbit.

-Circularize as soon as possible and switch to the booster.

-Enter the Atmosphere facing prograde, or you are dead.

-Stage the engines and fly home, deploying the drag chute before landing (You can land without it).

-The Included Ion Sat can get you quite far, use it!

Have fun, and Good Luck!

Spoiler

Kelta-1:

Using this light lifter, you can get 2.5 tons to orbit. With 2.5 tons, you can go to quite a few places!

Notes:

-Start your gravity turn right after launch (Turn just a little, Max 5 Degrees).

-Like the last one, this thing will Flip! if you aren't slow on the controls.

-Nothing else, I hope you have fun and go far with this!

Modded Craft (Tantares, Tantares LV, MKS-L, KIS, KAS and OSE Workshop):

TEMSTAR Block:

This block of three sats is placed on a Soyuz-2-1V launch vehicle. It'll get you the LKO Comms network you need.

Notes:

-Don't touch the controls (And start your gravity turn) until you're past 25,000 Meters. If you do, you'll trash the sats and ruin your lifter.

-Don't do past x2 warp until you've ditched the First Stage.

-Once your Apoapsis is out of the atmosphere, turn horizontal.

-Action Group 1 should extend the antennas, but there's a glitch that might not allow it.

-Needs Tantares and Tantares LV.

Spoiler

Apollo Laythe Lander.

So here at DMSP we rigged an Apollo CSM and turned it into a Laythe lander. Perfectly able to go to Laythe's surface and back.

RiyU2R0.png

Notes:

-You can take 1,000 KIS Spaces down with you (In the crew capsule)

-De-orbitation burn takes a while. Like a loooong time. Just a heads up.

-Shallow descents have a better chance of surviving, this thing has no heatsheild.

-When in the atmosphere, use the RCS system (But don't over use it!).

-You need to do a suicide burn to survive!

-Antenna is on Action group 1.

-To get to the ladder, you're going to need to jump up (With your RCS Pack).

-Only [Gravity] turn at 30,000 Meters.

-Once your Apoapsis is out of the Atmosphere, turn horizontal. Once your last Booster stage runs out (Stage 2) Cut rockets.

-You may need to use some RCS to get into orbit.

-Needs Tantares and Tantares LV.

I have made a fine light lifter out of something very old on Kerbal X.

I seem to like light lifters today.

I present:

Kelta-1

Capable of getting 2.5 tons to orbit, you can explore beyond the Kerbin System with this.

Have fun flying it, and it's much easier than the Atacama-Sahara (though not as cool).

Our rockets are very different. Mine are huge. Yours are not (at least compared with mine) mine launchs 500 tons. You launch 2.5. Mine are super stable (a mammoth and 4 mailsails give insane torque) yours you have to be careful. Mine explode 75% of the time. Yours don't. but they are all awesome! I'm going to try a winged booster today!

Well, I just want to say that I have started updating the following craft on KerbalX to Stock KSP.

My Base Package is going to be reworked, with a launch vehicle and tug.

Rovmat-1 will be turned into Rovmat-2 and made stock.

The Laythe Lander (up on this page) is going to be made stock, and so is the TEMSTAR Block. I can do the TEMSTAR block by tomorrow. It needs a few tweaks before I release it.
