[SUGGESTION] Activate/Deactivate multiple SAS and rockets

Recently I\'ve been playing about with a few designs of fully reusable space planes - A Single Stage To Orbit, the Mun, or Minmus.

My latest design, the AeroShuttle, uses 2 Avionics SAS. I found that these are the best for take off and ascent, as they allow you to lift the nose whilst keeping the craft stable. However, re-entering the atmosphere at orbital velocities is a bit of a problem...

The nose lifts like crazy and even with your finger strapped to the W key, it\'s near impossible to reach the ground safely - you flip up and go into a mad spin, and then the ground gives you a nice 100m/s hi-five in the face...

This has happened with a lot of my high altitude, high speed air/space craft, but with a bit of research, I found that the Advanced SAS more than solved the problem! It actually landed itself, whilst I was tabbed out, watching a video!

This created a further problem though - I could barely take off...

So I would like to see a feature that enables you to Activate and Deactivate the SAS parts so that I could use the Avionics system for take-off and ascent, and the Advanced SAS for re-entry and landing!

Sorry for the monologue, just wanted to see if anyone thought this was a good idea, or whether they\'ve had similar problems. ;D

That would be nice, to activate certain systems and deactivate others for launching, and vice versa for reentry and landing.

You should check out the conversation Ted and I had in my thread: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=14468.0

In short, the usual cause of spinning uncontrollably is reentering at a steep angle. We\'ve found that reentering at a very slight angle helps maintain control of the space plane. Of course this makes aiming for the space center a hundred times harder, but at least you won\'t spin out of control (or in my case sometimes, fly backwards).

Also, tapping the SAS key helps stabilize the plane, but only if you\'re not at a steep angle.

But yeah, I\'ll have to try that Advanced SAS for landing, hehe.
