Huh. That's quite an oversight! Looks like I also need to tweak the AI to be more aggressive; it wasn't pulling its usual tricks even once in those fights. I must have changed something with DD or the AI settings and forgotten about it.

[edit] OK, I've tweaked the Currawong's behavior slightly (link). Haven't had a chance to do much testing, but I do want to run some battles eventually.
