Freezing on loading

So i recently updated to ksp 1.0.5 and noticed some of my mods were out of date and would not load.  i figured as much with the recent update to the game.  i deleted all the mods in my gamedata file and proceeded to download all the updated mods. (list below)  now when i load the game it freezes on KAX, and then if i remove the folder it freezes on MarkIV.  i found that some people were using a work around for kw rockets of placing a cfg file in gamedata. but this has not worked at all for me and the game continues to freeze.  i am running on a 2011 macbook pro with 16gb ram and a 480ssd hard drive.  any help would be great, thank you
