WWII Jets (WIP)

Some attempts at modeling late WWII jets I made earlier

 

A rather chubby Me 262 (based on one I saw on the forum a while ago). Needs cannons *COUGH* @TUKE (Please add mk 108s to your pack)

And a P-80 that barely looks like a P-80

(My Gloster Meteor model was so atrocious that I have elected not to show it)

Any ideas to improve these models?

Well I assume you are going for the P-80 shooting star. One thing I noticed is the lack of the wing-tip fuel tanks

Yeah, might add them. The picture I used for reference didn't have wing-tip tanks

Ah, well off this picture its rather close

The 262 isn't bad, but the horizontal stabilizers are too swept, and the wing shape is off. A little rotation and offset shenanigans could get you a fairly accurate 262 replica...

For the P-80, I'd suggest using the Structural Intake at the wing root to better replicate the intake shape of the real P-80. Also, you could probably use two .625m fuel tanks with the Small Nose Cone, stack them in an over-under config, and then rotate them inwards slightly to replicate the P-80 nose.

I use extensive part clipping. Also even though I've been gone a while, the Mk108 is probably next after the MG131 thats nearly finished.
