KSP grand Prix *UPDATED 1/23/2016

Hello people my name is Lego8_bit and today i wanted to start another race this time its for formula one  now unlike other challenges this one you have to base your vehicile to an f1-f3 in real life the car that you research  or choose can be from the 1950-present

THE FOLLOWING RACE CARS ARE PERMITED IN THE PICTURES BELOW TO PARTAKE IN THE GRAND PRIX

MY VERSION OF AN F1 CAR

now here are some rules to go by before your car gets placed onto the track...

NOTE: this challenge is mod friendly to a point if you wish to go stock thats fine

Mod car rules:

1. under no circumstances should your f1 be over 5.0 tons

2. f1's that are built must have downforce in the stock physics so that you can have grip.

3. if possible limit your part count to 80 parts maximum

4. no infinite fuel of any kind , cheating, a modded physics engine, etc...

5. must use the rovermax model m1 tire up and to 4-6 are allowed

6. hyper-edit is permmited but only after you complete your offical timed lap to REFUEL ONLY!!! you cannot refuel while doing your timed lap aka driving with hyper edit ONLINE or you will be disqualified for that. 

7. can only use 5 monopropellant engines of any type and can only use 2 "24-77 twitch liquid fuel engines"

8. the f1-f3 must be resarched and you must show a valid picture of what you chose and what you desined tweaked etc...

9. video entry only 

 

STOCK CAR RULES:

2. f1's that are built must have downforce for grip

3. part limit is 80 parts max

5. must use the rovermax model m1 tire up and to 4-6 are allowed

4. no cheating, hacks, krakans, or anything that is modded to help you.

5. can only use 5 monopropellant stock engines of any kind and 2 24-77 twitch liquid fuel engines

6. f1-f3 must be resarched, and you must show a valid picture of what you have chosses and the example of that craft.

7. photos or video entry's are permmited

FIRST LEG of the grand Prix starts off in the RnD section the map shows you where to go THIS IS AN ELIMINATION RACE! the 2 people who have the slowest times will be eliminated from the race MAP IN SPOILER BELOW!!!

Ive been watching F1 for the past 35 years so I'll definitely be having a go at this when im next on my computer

Not quite sure how to get the timing accurate but thats something I'll work out.

So, built my car now just going to enter the testing phase. Got good speed from it even at 30m/s+ (approx  ) around corners. Had no "track" time yet but soon will......

Well, heres my F1 car (so far). Have had very little time testing due to family commitments plus building a (hopefully) Jool 5 Challenge craft but while im on my PC I thought I'd show you that I havnt lost interest and I will post a time ASAP

It's certainly not the best build but she does go fast and also remains stable and in control. Looks arent everything!

I might give this a crack. I have a few very old racing designs, I'll try and take an idea from those.
