Year In Space Thread

With the yearlong mission of Scott Kelly and Mikhail Kornienko onboard the International Space Station rapidly approaching its end-date, I thought I would take a minute to put together some links and info. The primary mission is to study the effects of prolonged spaceflight on the human body and how it can better prepare us for longer missions to places like Mars. So far the year has been an interesting one having Scott and Mikhail experiences many up's and down's. From a trio of failed cargo deliveries to a battening of hatches during close approach of rogue space debris, missing home and even dealing with weird questions from reporters (<- Scotts reply is priceless) the two have definitely had to put up with a lot to get us all that good science!

Hardware Guide
A NASA's link that serves as a handy guide to hardware that either is, or has been, flown on the ISS.

ISSLive
A third-party feature that lets you track some data in realtime onboard the ISS, not all the displays work but still neat.

Spot The Station
Having trouble finding when the ISS will pass overhead near you, no longer! Or use this to see where it is right now.

NASA TV-Public (via YouTube)*
Tune in here every weekday at 11AM ET for a new edition of Space Station Live! The show features a live look into mission control in Houston where NASA commentators will give you a peek into what is going on that day as well as interviews with scientists and staff who support the station.
*I chose the YouTube link due to the quality and most importantly the ability seek through and play whatever was aired in the past 2 hours so it doesn't become appointment viewing :)

NASA YouTube Latest Videos
This is NASA's YouTube page where besides posting content from all around the agency they also post the live interviews that are done with the crew members which have had a heavy focus on the yearlong crew. (Remember to check their other associated channels for other cool stuff!)

TIME: Year In Space
Also a YouTube link, an excellent episodic series that is following Scott Kelly before, during, and (apparently/hopefully!) post-flight. Really good watch, get to see some very rare and impressive footage of the station.
