Launch SpacePlane without Recovery of Others?

Hi there :3

 

I played a lot with BDArmory for the last days, but i still couldn't try out the AI pilots...

whenever I launch a plane, fly it, and park it, (even when i leave it ~5km away from the runway) Ksp wants me to recover it, before i can launch my plane... Also in "space center" view every Spaceplane i used appears to be parked on the end of the runway, even if i parked it kilometers away....

 

I hope that anybody of you knows a method to disable the recovery at launch, or a mod that solves my problem.

Thats odd, I launch reusable rockets all the time and it never forced me to recover my boosters even tho they are less then 2km from launch pad. I have not tested it since the last update with a spaceplane, but it should work fine.

 

Some things to check to see if it's actually a simple solution.

 

1. Once you have landed, make sure you are returning to space center and not reverting to launch.

 

2. Also make sure that u have enough Kerbals hired. (Not sure if this could cause this but should just be safe)

 

3. Make sure that you are not mistaking debree on the runway with the actual vessle. (Ex. If u launch a rocket using launch clamps, they will remain on the pad after launch, becoming a peice of the rocket you must recover to clear the pad)

 

4. FYI. The runway on the island in KSP counts as the main runway, so if you have a plane there it will force you to recover it.

Yea, are you sure it's not debris rather than your craft?  I've been experimenting with cargo rovers and parking it far enough off the runway that the ground texture changes (feels like 100m or so) seems to be plenty.  As the runway is classed as a biome I'd guess you should just need to be outside that biome and on the grasslands.

But you can't really return to KSC screen when an aircraft is in the air. As I recon, the game even gives a warning-screen that it will revert to the last valid autosave - most likely the one where the craft is on the launchpad.

Not sure if that's the case with BDarmory and autopiloting, but it seems so.

Some of this info is wrong.  In fact I have a plane parked right next to the sph and runway and have no issues with that.  I also have a runway beacon just West of the runway.  I also have craft on the island runway that do not need to be touched.  I would guess this is a mod conflict as I play vanilla.
