Low Orbiting Asteroids

Ok so I had an idea today, since we can now redirect asteroids would it be possible to put one in such a low orbit that you could see it from the ground of kerbin? Also, would it be possible to put one in an orbit around the mun or minmus where it hovers just over the ground? Imagine landing and seeing a death boulder flying at orbital velocity zoom past your ship!

1: No. In the atmosphere, objects are visible from like 20 km. In space, 2 km. Maybe if you were in a plane in the upper atmosphere, you could see it, or if you had something like Distant Object Enhancement (don't quote me on that, not sure how the mod works)

2: That could probably be doable. It'd be tough to get the asteroid within two km of the ground without crashing, but it's possible. I'd like to see somebody try it.
