Space Suit Requirements

I think it would add another element to gameplay if there were multiple space suit options in the game, each with different properties / characteristics which made them more suitable to particular planets or biomes. 

So the characteristics could be things like EVA fuel, temperature limit, mass, waterproofing (for when Jeb fancies a quick dip) etc etc.

The primary suit would be chosen before launch, and additional suits could be stored on command modules for those multi-planet missions.

It might also be a better way to explain why you can't Eva in early career mode.

 

Maybe Ithe would give the option to hire cheaper crew who are just mission specialists who don't EVA, but work in orbital science  labs. And you can pay to upgrade their suit/training for Eva if needed.

 

It would bexpect nice if you needed a better suit to survive on Eve  for example.

Or have suits to be upgraded? So at first, when starting a career, you wouldn't have a pressurized suit, so no EVA in non atmospheric environments. The next type of suit would allow EVA in vacuum, but would have no fuel and it would be connected with a line to a cockpit. (Maybe a special bulky cockpit required for such a thing, Similar to Voskhod 2) And then the third stage, the classic suit we already have. I am a bit sick of upgrading your astronaut complex early in the career, and already having the modern suit. In real life self propelling backpacks were designed in the late MIR and ISS time.

I like this idea. I think the starting point of career mode is something that needs work / freshening up. Adding the suit as an upgradeable item would do this, although it's often a science 'grind' as it is.

Actually, total refine of the start would be needed. With the current way of playing, they could roll out probes completely, because capsules are very overpowered in comparison to them. They should first add starter 0.625m tanks and engines, with a sounding rocket probe core. Not starting with 1.25m capsule, tanks and engines straight away. More science experiments would be nice too.
P.S. I would like barometer and thermometer to be starting experiments, with goo and materials coming later.
