Steam freaked me out a little

I went to start up KSP and Steam told me it needed to be downloaded. What? I was just playing last night.

So I checked the directory and it was there, with all my saves and mods, etc. But Steam insisted it wasn't. In fact, it insisted that none of my Steam games on my "E" drive were actually there. So I made a copy, and then told Steam to go ahead and download.

And after all that, it just "checked existing files" and decided it didn't need to download anything after all.

had that happen a couple of times, I make sure steam doesn't run or play games from any protected folders "Program Files (x86)" for example and it stopped happening.
