undragonslayer7
I\'ve built a rocket capable off flying to the Mun and Minmus. But when I try to land my engine falls off. Everything stays intact, even the engine that is then sitting on the ground. I come in at a little less than 10 m/s usually. I\'ve tried connecting it with struts, but they haven\'t helped. Have any others had this problem, if so, how did you overcome it?
BlackBicycle
Landing legs that actually reach quite lower than the engine, will help, as will having a landing speed of less than 2 m/s, preferably less than 1. Good luck : )
UmbralRaptor
Landing at lower speeds (<5m/s), and/or using landing legs instead of engines to take the impact.
Knyght
You have to realise that 10m/s is over 20mph. Try driving into a brick wall at 22mph and see if everything is attached to your car afterwards. The same applies here
vexx32
Aye, 1m/s is equivalent to 3.6km/h and ~2.2mph. Just keep that in mind, hmm?If you want to be 'safe', you shouldn\'t really land on anything other than lander legs with more than 3m/s velocity. Try to keep it under 10km/h and you\'ll be alright.
