Saving Input settings

Everytime I come back to KSP I have to re do all of my input commands with my joystick mouse keypad etc... Is there a way to save this customized keybinds permanently?

That was supposed to have been fixed in the latest update. Are you running version 1.0.5 build 1028?

If not (or even if you are and for some reason it still messes up) there are two ways to fix it. The first is to always make sure that you have all input devices plugged into the same spot each time before you start the game.

The other option is to (once you have your settings where you want them) close the game, then go into the KSP folder and change the settings.cfg to be read only. 

If neither one of those work, I'm out of ideas. Peripherals like game pads/controllers and joystick have been notoriously buggy for a while.
