Legal question: parts that use (not redistribute) stock textures

Quick question:

if I would link to a texture of the stock game, without redistributing it (small dummy texture and texture=<path to squad texture> in the model node) is this legally ok?

Like, I need an extension for the ksp launch pad, and it should have a (near) identical texture to the concrete of the original one, so it looks nice. Then using the stock ksp_pad_concrete_diff.tex.dds would be a nice option. It would look 100% the same, and there would be no other mem eating texture needed.
