Hello all I'm new to the KSP forums and I saw people with cool ribbons on their profile could you guys explain me how they do that

thanks :)

The ribbons get saved as an image and uploaded somewhere on the internet where you can access them. Then you embed that into your sig the same way you embed an image into a post (there is a dropdown menu in the lower right called "Insert other media" and an option in it that says "Insert image from URL". Paste in your image link, note that it must end in .jpg, .png, or some other file extension, and bingo). If you need to generate yourself a set of ribbons, you can do that at http://www.kerbaltek.com/ribbons.

Literally unable, help a little more? How do I even get the full picture without pasting in a non-HTTP address?

You go to the website in your link. Click all the buttons to create the ribbon that shows what you want. Click the "Generate" button on the page. When you click the button, it should download a .png file to your computer (called KSP-Ribbons.png). Find the file, and upload it to a website that allows hotlinking (such as imgur). Then go in to your Account Settings/Signature tab and type in the URL for the hotlinked image.

It works best if you have a Kerbaltek account, then I uploaded mine with that.
