Can't complete mission " Position satellite around Kerbin equator" - Career Mode

Recommended Posts

After playing the contract " Position satellite in an equatorial orbit of kerbin" and reach the designated orbit, I got 3 marked at the contract check list but the mission just cant be complete. There is a note about the probe should be built for Kerlington Model rocket, but I cant figure out how to solve this problem. Antenna and solar panel have been provided, so I think that is not the problem. What am i doing wrong?

uegy20UNOTE: I'm using MechJab, KER, Science Alert, and KIS.

Thanks for your help.

Did you build the rocket *after* you took the contract? Also, what sort of antenna do you have fitted?

The screenshot shows a Comms DTS-M1

Also, @laviosa: get in the habit of checking your craft at the launch pad to see if it meets the hardware requirements; it'll save you some agony in the future :)

Ah yes. I see it now.

I seem to remember someone saying that the contract needs (but doesn't say) the antenna to be a Communotron 16. I could be wrong of course.

I wonder how many times I've answered this very same question. I lost count.

Q: My contract won't complete.
A1: Are you sure you're orbiting in the right direction? Watch how the tiny highlights on the target orbit are moving. You should be going in the same direction.
A2: The contract system still contains a few bugs. If you are confident you've met all the contract requirements don't despair, Quicksafe [F5] and exit the game. Restart the game and return to the craft that failed to complete. Almost guaranteed now the contract will complete without a problem.

I think maybe because I didn't build new probe specifically for this contract ( I was using another satellite which has completed previous contract). I'll build new probe and inform you guys, hopefully it will work. Thanks.

Yeah, that's likely the problem, then. It says it in the blue "Note" part of the contract parameters.

You can still use a single probe to complete multiple contracts, you just have to build and launch the probe after you have accepted both contracts.
