im looking for a mod that adds in a life size vab, sph, rnd buildings etc as parts you can stick on your rockets with ivas and stuff

I think the Extraplanetary Launchpads mod is probably as close as your going to get. It lets you launch rockets from space/other places but, i am unsure if it has a seperate VAB/SPH.

If your not looking for it to work you can probably access the Squad VAB 3D model and set it up as a aestetic 'part'.

As far as i know everything in the game has a few main parts. the 3D model and texture a config file that tells the game what it does, and possibly particle effects to give it a nice trail of fire if its a rocket or something. Most games work like this.
