Dead kerbals?

Wow. My kids would probably explode from despair if either of our cats dissapeared, much less drowned and needed to be chiseled out of the ice...

Aw maan yeah ... I remember one time, my dad and I were driving behind the bus in the evening and noticed a very flat furry part coming out under it. We asked at the house next door, whether they owned a cat. The guy said yeah and had to... uhm... well ... scrape it off... depositing it in the garage til next day.

We had stayed to just say, you know, sorry about the whole little tragedy there... and as he were about to go back inside, we see the 2 small kids come out and ask where "snuggles" (or whatever) were? ... The last thing we heard was the reply of "he/she's sleeping in the garage tonight"... There are limits to the explanations a parent can conjur up at 15 mins past bedtime.

...

Anyways ... I think the freezing and thawing kerbals... is a pretty darn ingenious alternative. Quite fitting with the alienness of the kerbals and the cartoonish aspects. Made sense to me. Tho I do think snacks and pepppermint? icecream should have a little place as well. Just for cuteness factor.
